The colourful, fast and exciting spectacle of Group C sports cars will return to the 8.5-mile Circuit de la Sarthe as a support race to the modern 24 Hours endurance held over the weekend of June 12-13, 2010.

The 45-minute race support race on the Saturday morning features a different era of Le Mans history each year, with Group C featuring Rothmans-liveried Porsche 956s and 962s and Silk Cut Jaguar XJRs cars of the Eighties and Nineties being a firm crowd favourite.

At its peak in the late Eighties Group C had become a 240mph spectacle attracting huge crowds, but FIA rule changes resulted in key manufacturer teams leaving and the cars ran for the last time in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1994.
