Distraught owner appeals for information to help get the car back The striking red-over-black 3000 Mk3 was taken on March 3 and owner Ian Dixon Potter is anxious to have it back. ‘It would be very difficult to find another in this condition.’ The 1965 model, registered DGP 885C, has a number of distinctive features including larger than normal steel disc wheels. Inside, the blue leather front seats are of the older-style five pleat design and blue rear seats are perforated vinyl; there’s a Pye radio and an aperture in the floor of the glove box; the overdrive is operated by a switch marked ‘Aux’ and the tall dash-mounted rearview mirror is mounted on two tall spacers. Under the bonnet, the engine has a fluted rocker cover. The ‘Healey was a regular at classic car nights held at London’s Ace Café.
