Coys sale in Monaco on May 10th features special bodied Ferraris and a Monte Carlo Healey
Coys have two interesting auctions coming up, May 10th at Monaco and May 25th at Brands Hatch, sending sixty cars to each. At Monaco a 1958 works supported Austin Healey that took part in the 1962 and 1965 Monte Carlo Rallies is likely to start at around £150,000, as well as a Porsche 550RS and a Bialbero Abarth from 1959. Two Ferrari specially commisioned shooting brakes are also for sale at Monaco, Luigi Chinetti's Ferrari Daytona shooting brake from 1972, and the last Vignale bodied Ferrari 330 GT shooting brake.
In Coy's Brands Hatch auction, which takes place on Sunday May 25th and also incorporates The Excellence of Porsche, is an ex Le Mans Porsche 911 GT3 RS from estimated at £55,000 to £75,000, A 1965 Lotus Elan which competed in the Bahamas Speed Weeks in 1965 and 1966, (£35,000 to £45,000), an Aston Martin DB6 Mk 2 Volante, a rare 1939 Malcolm Campbell designed Bentley, and a 1972 Ferrari Dino barn find. In the Automobilia and collectors part of the sale will be an Ayrton Senna section - featuring items from the son of the late Marketing Director of Team Lotus. Words: Tim Nevinson
